How do I know that my blemish is safe to treat?
All skin blemishes are individually assessed through magnification during a thoroughly consultation.
Only healthy skin blemishes that have been identified 100%, are eligible for treatment.
How is my skin blemish treated?
The treatment method utilised is Advanced Electrolysis, which involves the use of a fine, pre-sterilised, and disposable probe. This probe administers a gentle energy in the form of heat, which is meticulously controlled to cauterise the skin tissue. The benefit of this method is precision.
How will my skin look after the treatment?
After the procedure, the skin may appear slightly red and warm, but this is only temporary. Within the next 48 hours, a small crust or scab will form, depending on the type of skin blemish that was treated. Clear, written aftercare instructions are given at the appointment.
How much treatment can I have in the session?
During the consultation, following the skin assessment, a treatment plan will be discussed and designed to suit your individual needs. Many factors will influence how much treatment is offered per session, eg. size of blemish, location, medical history, age and lifestyle. All these factors affect the healing process.
How long is the healing time?
The healing process may take 10-14 days. Times will vary depending upon the treatment performed, location on the face and body, lifestyle, medical history and age.
During the healing process, the written aftercare instructions must be followed.
If I am concerned about a mole, what can I do?
We now offer a service in collaboration with Community Dermatology Limited. The consultation and images are taken at The Skincare Studio and a securely uploaded to the dermatologist. A full report is sent directly to you within 24-48 hours.
How do I care for my skin post-treatment?
During the consultation you will receive clear, written aftercare instructions explaining how to care for your skin following the procedure.
For a minimum of 48 hours, and during the healing process, it is important to not pick, avoid U.V. exposure, skin products, exercise, hot baths, saunas, and ensure that the skin is kept clean.
How many treatments will I need?
During the initial consultation, your skin will be assessed and necessary information will be taken, such as, medical history, age and lifestyle.
These factors will determine how much treatment is offered per session.
